Four boarding passes. Two children’s ages to enter correctly. One room that actually sleeps everyone. Black Friday is only a bargain when those details survive the final checkout.
We have little patience for a 35% discount that disappears the moment we enter two children into the booking form. The useful Black Friday offers are not necessarily the loudest. Some give families a real extra night, some waive a child’s room or meal charge, and others simply reduce a room rate while flights, resort fees and extra beds remain untouched.
Black Friday falls on Friday, 27 November 2026. A number of genuinely bookable hotel promotions are already open, and several of the big flight and package sales will start earlier in November. We would rather book an excellent family trip at a demonstrably good price today than wait a month for an attractive graphic with no rooms left for our school-holiday dates.
The quick answer: which deals are worth checking first?
- Mallorca, bookable now: Playa Esperanza Resort’s Black Friday offer promises up to 25% extra off eligible stays in 2027. Book by 3 December 2026. The right apartment or suite matters more than the advertised discount on a double room.
- Mexico, bookable now: TAFER Resorts’ early-access promotion offers three nights for the price of two at participating properties, with up to two children staying and dining free on eligible reservations. Early access runs 24–31 October, for TAFER Rewards users.
- Mexico, bookable now: Sierra Lago Resort & Spa has up to 29% off participating stays and eligible children aged 0–10 staying free. Book by 31 October.
- Hawaii, bookable now: Marriott’s Blue Friday offer covers three Waikiki hotels, with 20–35% off and restricted daily resort credits. Book by 15 December.
- Germany and Europe, upcoming: Coral Travel has announced selected hotel and package promotions of up to 50%, from 23–30 November. The individual family itineraries still need pricing when the sale opens.
- Flights, upcoming: Condor starts 16 November; Eurowings Holidays 20 November; Eurowings flights 23 November. Routes, travel windows and final four-person fares must be checked when they appear.
Our priority: start with Mallorca for an easy European summer family holiday, TAFER for a properly sized Mexican suite with children included, and Waikiki if the whole trip already makes sense with long-haul flights. A direct booking offer and a Booking.com comparison are different products. We price both, then decide. Some of the Booking.com links in this guide are affiliate links; FFH may earn a commission if you book, at no extra cost to you.
Mallorca: Playa Esperanza Resort is the European family deal to open first
A sandy beach on one side, pools and apartments on the other: Playa de Muro is an easy place to understand the appeal of a family resort. Playa Esperanza Resort sits beside the beach in northern Mallorca, with suites and apartments as well as conventional hotel rooms. That last detail makes this a more interesting Black Friday candidate than a beautifully discounted room with only two beds.
Das 2026 Black Friday offer advertises up to 25% extra off, depending on the room category and travel dates. The booking window runs 15 October to 3 December 2026, with eligible stays 19 March to 31 October 2027. This is an actual offer for next year’s holidays, not a last-year campaign page or a promise of savings on every room.
We would start with the apartment or suite that accommodates the exact family, not the lowest double-room rate. The resort lists three outdoor and two indoor pools, although one indoor spa pool has an age restriction. Its children’s circular pools are listed at approximately 0.60 m deep. Swimming facilities, lifeguard periods and seasonal pool opening dates still deserve a final check for the chosen week; not every pool is open on the same schedule.
Am besten geeignet für: European families with younger children looking for a beachfront summer base and a relatively straightforward flight. Watch out for: room capacity, board basis and peak school-holiday inventory. A percentage off a room category that cannot sleep four is not a four-person deal.
Check the Playa Esperanza official Black Friday offer. For a separate rate check, compare Playa Esperanza on Booking.com.
Mexico: TAFER’s third night free is the headline with substance
An extra night changes the rhythm of a family trip. It buys another slow breakfast, another full day by the pool and one less afternoon spent packing. It can also deliver a substantial room saving, provided the third night is really included in the same qualified reservation.
TAFER Resorts’ Black Friday early access runs 24–31 October 2026, for travel through 22 December 2027. Participating resorts advertise three nights for the price of two. At several family-eligible properties, up to two children can stay and dine free on qualifying bookings. Membership in TAFER Rewards is required for this early-access period, and the family benefit, blackout dates, room types and meal plan are property-specific.
Our shortlist starts with Garza Blanca Resort & Spa Cancún, Garza Blanca Resort & Spa Los Cabos und Villa del Palmar Cancún. A beachfront suite with a real sleeping area for the children is where this offer becomes interesting. Garza Blanca’s larger residential-style layouts are worth checking rather than assuming that the entry-level junior suite has space for the entire party. We would compare the final all-inclusive and room-only totals separately, because adding meals for four can erase an apparently better accommodation rate.
TAFER’s campaign also lists Hotel Mousai properties. Those are nur für Erwachsene and have no place on a family shortlist. We would not click through eight destinations and pretend they all meet the same brief.
Am besten geeignet für: families considering a Mexican beach holiday in 2027, particularly a longer stay where the extra night is genuinely useful. Watch out for: member eligibility, child ages, occupancy, eligible board plans, taxes and whether the three-for-two rate is better than a normal multi-night or Booking.com rate for your exact dates.
Check the participating TAFER resort offers and exclusions.
For an independent price check, compare Garza Blanca Cancún on Booking.com, Garza Blanca Los Cabos on Booking.com und Villa del Palmar Cancún on Booking.com on Booking.com, then match the room and meal plan against the direct offer.

Mexico’s alternative: Sierra Lago gives children more than a pool
Not every exceptional family escape needs a beach. Sierra Lago Resort & Spa, in the wooded mountains of Jalisco, pairs lakeside cabins with outdoor activities, restaurants and a much quieter setting than the coast. For the family that would take a kayak over another infinity-pool selfie, this is a compelling change of scene.
The resort’s Black Friday terms advertise up to 29% off selected stays, with bookings 24–31 October 2026 and travel 1 November 2026 to 22 December 2027. Up to two children aged 0–10 stay free in eligible cabins, or up to four in Casa Lago. The promotion also identifies conditional cabin upgrades and selected spa benefits. Rates shown by the operator are per person per night, a detail that makes its headline price particularly dangerous to compare with a per-room hotel quote.
We would choose the cabin first, then ask the resort to confirm the total for every adult and child, exactly which meals are included for the children and any blackout dates. The public Black Friday conditions explicitly call for checking meal eligibility; a free child stay does not automatically grant a free child’s dining plan. Also note that the resort has an Pool nur für Erwachsene, so not every photograph of the property illustrates a pool the children can use.
Am besten geeignet für: nature-led family trips, multi-generational cabin stays and children who will value activities beyond the beach. Watch out for: remote logistics, transfer costs, child meal conditions and the difference between prices per person and prices per cabin.
See Sierra Lago’s official Black Friday terms.
Hawaii: Marriott’s Blue Friday is real, but count the resort credit correctly
Waikiki is an excellent lesson in the difference between a lower room price and a lower holiday bill. Marriott’s Blue Friday promotion includes three hotels and is open for bookings through 15 December 2026, with eligible stays 15 October 2026 to 14 October 2027 and a two-night minimum. The promotion uses code E6780.
- Moana Surfrider, A Westin Resort & Spa: 35% off eligible rates, plus a $125 daily resort credit.
- Sheraton Waikiki Beach Resort: 30% off, plus $100 daily resort credit.
- Sheraton Princess Kaiulani Waikiki Beach: 20% off, plus $75 daily resort credit.
Certain ocean-view suites receive double the usual resort credit. That sounds attractive, but the credit is not cash and cannot cover the room rate, tax, resort fee or parking. It is applied to eligible purchases at participating hotel outlets. We would value it only against meals or treatments we already intended to buy, not treat five nights of $125 credit as a $625 reduction in the accommodation bill.
For a family, our first comparison would be the exact sleeping arrangement and pool access. We would favour Sheraton Waikiki’s family-relevant pool facilities over assuming its more dramatic, adults-oriented pool imagery describes a children’s experience. The historic Moana Surfrider is a different proposition: atmosphere, beach access and an unusually handsome building. They are not interchangeable simply because a promotion puts them in one list.
The airfare to Honolulu, baggage, inter-island plans and resort fees determine whether this is worth the journey. We would price it against a comparable hotel on Oahu, including our Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina review. Four Seasons is a comparison, not a participant in Marriott’s sale.
Am besten geeignet für: families already planning Hawaii. Watch out for: restricted credits, resort fees, child occupancy and the total long-haul flight bill.
See the official Blue Friday rates and promo code. For a separate room-rate comparison, see Moana Surfrider on Booking.com.

Germany: the ordinary family offer that might beat Black Friday
Some of our favourite comparisons have no Black Friday branding at all. We keep those everyday prices next to the sale calendar, so we can see what actually wins.
Familotel Sonnenpark, in Germany’s Sauerland, publishes Family SAVINGS Weeks with fixed apartment-level discounts. For certain dates from 31 October to 13 December 2026, the listed saving begins at €160 for a qualifying four-day weekday stay and rises to €620 for 14 days. Separate eligible periods extend into 2027, with different tiers. This is not a Black Friday sale. It is, however, a rare offer where the discount is expressed per apartment rather than as a vague percentage of an unspecified rack rate.
Sonnenpark’s appeal is its family infrastructure: indoor pools for different ages, a year-round heated outdoor pool, a 30-metre family waterslide, children’s play facilities and an all-inclusive programme. The choice is not a discounted room versus a more expensive room. It is the total cost of accommodation, childcare, meals and how much the children will actually enjoy being there. The resort explicitly distinguishes its meal plans: one all-inclusive tier does not include lunch, while the higher tier does.
We would also check established family programmes such as Marriott’s Kids Stay & Eat Free where the room, participating property and children’s age qualify. Again, not Black Friday. The extra meal and occupancy value may still beat a sale on a breakfast-only rate.
Am besten geeignet für: families prioritising childcare, warm pools and predictable meals over international travel. Watch out for: the exact apartment category, the number of nights qualifying for a saving, and lunch exclusions.
Check Sonnenpark’s current family savings periods.

German departures: Coral Travel is the November package sale to monitor
A package can beat a hotel discount when the aircraft seats are expensive. It can also look deceptively cheap if the example uses an inconvenient departure airport or a different meal plan. Coral Travel’s Black Week 2026 is worth monitoring when we compare package holidays: selected hotels and package holidays are advertised at up to 50% off, with bookings 23–30 November 2026 and eligible travel 23 November 2026 to 31 December 2027.
The programme covers destinations including the Canary Islands, Turkey, Egypt, Greece, Mallorca, the United Arab Emirates and the Indian Ocean. We would start with the destinations, not the 50% graphic: a seven-night family package to a genuinely suitable Canary Islands or Turkish resort may offer a more predictable total than a room-only Caribbean discount requiring expensive flights.
This campaign is announced, not yet live on our 25 October snapshot. Its maximum discount is not a promise for any particular hotel, week or family configuration. Once inventory opens, we will compare the same hotel, flight times, transfer, luggage, room and board as one package and as separate bookings. If the exact family hotel is not named and priced, there is no reason to quote a saving.
Am besten geeignet für: school-holiday families flying from DACH airports and looking for a complete holiday rather than a room rate. Watch out for: selected inventory, peak-week exclusions, airport changes, board tiers and deposits versus the final payable total.
Open Coral Travel’s announced Black Week offers.
Flights: Condor, Eurowings, easyJet and British Airways on the watchlist
A sale date is useful. It is not a fare. For two adults and two children, the number we want is the final return-flight total with the baggage and seats we will actually purchase.
Condor: Striped Week runs 16–22 November 2026. That window is earlier than Black Friday. Specific routes, eligible departures and family fares must be checked when the sale opens. For longer trips, aircraft type and cabin configuration matter too; see our guide to airline cabins and planes worth choosing for families.
Eurowings: Holidays packages start 20 November, followed by flight Black Flydeals on 23 November, running through Travel Tuesday, 1 December. The published default is the Basic flight fare unless specified, with possible checked-bag and airport check-in charges. The family’s seat and baggage choices can materially alter the final total we actually pay.
easyJet: Both flight sales und easyJet holidays are on the November 2026 watchlist. We would only describe specific savings once the airline publishes eligible 2026 dates and fares, not borrow last year’s maximum percentage.
Vueling and British Airways: Vueling lists its Black Friday sale for 27 November. For British Airways, we would revisit the sale page when its 2026 offer appears rather than assume a launch date. We would take screenshots of the full family prices before comparing them, then check the return leg, luggage, seat fees and cancellation conditions together.
Who wins? There is no universal winner. A lower fare from an airport two hours farther away may cost more after parking, a hotel night and a tired departure with children. Our shortlist is whichever airline delivers the best family journey, not the cheapest adult seat shown in the first search result.

UK departures: check Jet2holidays against the final family total
Jet2holidays is worth checking for UK family trips, but we would not treat a general promotions page as proof that a particular departure, date or family qualifies for a discount. Before comparing it with another package, we would confirm the live offer terms, eligible airport, booking code, passenger mix, travel window and final family total.
For families based in continental Europe, a UK departure is a secondary option: airport positioning, baggage and an extra hotel night can outweigh a headline saving. We would compare the complete journey with the same nights, meals and baggage before choosing a package.
TUI’s current German package offers are another useful price benchmark. The TUI WOW campaign running through 30 November is a separate promotion, not automatically a Black Friday sale. We would compare precisely the same holiday, not two different sample destinations chosen because the prices happen to look neat.
The dates to save: from early access to Travel Tuesday
The sequence matters more than the Black Friday label. We would set these reminders and reprice the exact same trip, keeping our original baseline beside it.
- 24–31 October: TAFER Resorts early access; Sierra Lago Black Friday booking window. Membership, occupancy and child rules are decisive.
- By 3 December: Playa Esperanza Resort’s 2027 booking window closes.
- 16–22 November: Condor Striped Week.
- 20 November: Eurowings Holidays begins its package promotion.
- 23 November: Eurowings flights and Coral Travel’s Black Week start.
- 27 November: Black Friday itself; check Vueling, British Airways and other airline launches with actual fares.
- 30 November: Cyber Monday; Coral Travel’s advertised booking window ends.
- 1 December: Travel Tuesday; last advertised day of Eurowings Black Flydeals.
- 15 December: Marriott Blue Friday Waikiki booking deadline.
A published booking deadline is not a guarantee of room or seat availability until that day. Popular family suites and school-holiday flights can sell out earlier. Conversely, a countdown does not justify a poor, non-refundable booking.
The FFH family-price test: what the discount banner leaves out
Here is our rule: compare the same trip for the same people. Two adults, two children with their correct ages on the travel date, the same nights, the same room category, the same board and a journey the family would actually take.
For a hotel-only offer, we calculate the room total plus tax, local levies, resort fees, any compulsory extras, breakfast and the transfer. Then we subtract only an eligible credit we would use anyway. For a flight, we include four return seats, the correct baggage, seating requirements, airports and transfers. For packages, we check precisely what is included and compare the total with booking the equivalent components separately. A low deposit changes payment timing; it does nicht reduce the holiday price.
An illustration, not a live advertised offer: one seven-night stay costs €2,400 vor €180 in mandatory fees, €120 in transfers and €300 in meals. Its real holiday accommodation-and-ground total is €3,000. A second offer has a higher €2,550 room price, yet includes transfers and equivalent meals, leaving only €180 in fees: €2,730. The supposedly more expensive room wins by €270. That is why we do not rank resorts by the largest percentage in their marketing banner.
For families, five checks routinely change the result:
- Does the exact room legally sleep everyone? A sofa bed suitable for one child is not an invisible second child’s bed; connecting rooms may be requests rather than guarantees.
- How old are the children when we travel? A free-child benefit can end at 10, 12 or another property-specific age. Do not carry today’s age into next summer’s quote.
- Which meals are really included? Some offers cover only breakfast; some include children’s dining only on certain board plans. A resort credit may exclude the very purchases we had in mind.
- What happens if we cancel? A cheaper fully prepaid rate is not equivalent to a flexible rate when school, illness or family logistics change.
- Is the better deal on the same platform? An operator’s direct Black Friday code may be unavailable on Booking.com. We compare both booking routes independently and never promise that one rate transfers to another.
If there is one screenshot worth keeping, it is the final four-person checkout summary with its room name, dates, board, cancellation conditions and payable total. A screenshot of a percentage without those details is almost useless in a later comparison.
Our verdict: where we would put the family budget
We would look at Playa Esperanza first for an uncomplicated European beach holiday in 2027, starting with its genuine family apartment categories. TAFER is the standout early-access mechanism for a Mexican family resort if the third night and child benefits apply to a suite we would actually book. Sierra Lago is the more original choice for children who want mountains and outdoor activity rather than another beach, but its per-person pricing needs extra care.
For a family already set on Hawaii, Marriott’s Waikiki Blue Friday deserves a serious comparison. We would not select the hotel with the largest nominal resort credit without checking its restrictions. And for a family flying from Germany, Coral Travel’s November package campaign may turn out to be the stronger overall deal, once the exact flights and child-friendly hotel are priced.
We are not buying a Black Friday percentage. We are buying a better family holiday, with the right beds, fewer nasty extras and money left for the experiences that make the journey worthwhile.
